I’ve decided to write about the top 5 reasons in hiring a wedding planner.  I find that when brides call me they are not sure of the true value of a wedding planner.  Many brides have this misconceived notion that all we do is just show up and assist.  It is ALOT more than that!  We as wedding planners must be able to negotiate, create, understand, & listen to the overall needs of the client.  We must also be motherly, tender, understanding, but also get the job done when needed.  So, without further ado here are the top 5 reasons for hiring a wedding planner in Houston,TX:

1.  Details, Details, Details! :-)   It is the wedding planner job to keep precise log of all details in each wedding.  We are your eyes and ears.  Our job is to make sure that we keep your wedding on track and that everything that was promised you will be delivered to your specifications.

2.  Oops, did you forget something?  A good wedding planner will remind you of  forgotten items?  Did you forget to order the party favors?  Did you forget to add that extra table at the reception?  Did you forget to do the tent cards?  As a wedding planner it is out job to make sure that all the i’s are dotted and all the t’s crossed! :-)   We remind you of when payments are due, what tables are needed in your reception, who should sit where at the ceremony, noting your VIP guests..etc.  We have the ability to think outside box.

3.  I’m your friend, co-conspirator, your partner in crime, imagination designer…etc.  The job of a wedding planner is to be your friend every step of the way.  We inspire you and guide as if we were your best friend.  We guide in making the right choices vs. mistakes.  We can assist you in making your dreams become a reality and not just an imagination.  Working on creating a beautiful event within your budget.  Wouldn’t you want to have your friend by your side?

4.  Discounts for clients!  We as wedding planners, find the best deals for our clients.  Wouldn’t it be nice to receive a special discounts since you are using wedding planner?  Brides love getting discounts!  Secret specials only offered to wedding planners and their clients! 

5.  Peace of mind…wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy your wedding rather than spending it making sure everything goes well?  That the caterer showed up on time?  That your cake is to your specifications?  Our job as wedding planners is to coordinate everything on that day.  We make sure that your linen people show up, that the menu is what you ordered, that all the right people are standing in the right place.  We deal with emergencies that arise and we make decisions without you knowing it.  Your job as the bride is to RELAX…HAVE FUN…ENJOY…and it is our job as Wedding planners in Houston,TX to do that for you.

Last night I got a call from a future bride of mine.  She wants that gorgeous Miami Night Club theme but wanted to find ways to make it work without breaking the budget.  We spoke about centerpieces, linens, decorations, & napkin rings.  In the process of all of this I discovered some unusual and very different websites that give amazing ideas to be creative and personalize your wedding that won’t cost you an arm & a leg to create it.
