Dear Happy Readers,
Today I tell you the story of a lovely young lady named Mirna. When I first met Mirna, I thought she had this amazing aura around her. Her laughter, her smile, her pure exucerbance shine through. When I met her fiance, Mena they would steal loving glances and each other and constantly would steal kisses when I wasn’t looking.
They you could say was a match made in Heaven. They had been together for awhile and truly loved each other deeply. They decided that they wanted to get married in Galveston, TX so they chose the very pretty & close to the beach I might add, Hilton Galveston Island Resort. The pool was so nice and so relaxing…ahhh…oh, where was I? LOL, that’s right back to the wedding!
Anyways, Mirna had decided that her color palette would be lime green & hot pink for a festive event. She was having many friends & family coming from all over the U.S. & Latin America and wanted to incorporate her Latin routes with Latin Music & Reggae.
I loved this wedding. I felt like I was planning the wedding of one of my dearest friends. She and I got along beautifully and I was sad to see it end. But watching her walk away with Mena made me feel happy that I was part of it.
Here are some lovely shots that my EM, Courtney Fontenot took with her phone. Sadly I left my the batteries in my camera at home.
But she took some lovely shots! Thank you again Courtney!

Hi Everyone!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season and a Happy New Year! I have had a wonderful year of weddings! All different, all interesting! I am been so blessed with my clients!
This time I introduce to you Shirley & Jordan. They were really a very cute couple who where very proud of their culture & definitely wanted to incorporate their Heritage in the music and in the dancing. Not to mention the groom is an Aggie of course!
The Aggie fight song just had to be played!
So with the help of DJ Darilek they coordinated the perfect Polka for the day! Throwing in some hard core rock n’ roll, a little bit of country, & lots of Polka dancing made if for a fun filled night full of hard core dancing.
Shirley also wanted to incorporate Jordan’s love of John Deere so his groom’s cake was of the John Deer logo, guests brought John Deere gifts & her exit was green & yellow rose petals.
It was a very fun wedding and all the guests had a blast! Here are a few personal pics of the wedding. Sorry they aren’t the best looking pics! Hee hee….
Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Audrey Hu-Gonzalez

Dear Happy readers!
I have been wanting to blog about this wedding for such a long time! This wedding had all the fixins’ of a fun & family wedding!
Beverly & Joe felt that it was very important to have a beautiful & intimate wedding with close family & friends in a setting that was historic & special at the same time. Her father, who was just the greatest father a bride could have, had previously donated to the park & felt that this was the perfect location to have her event. She wanted to bring in a “Texas Country Chic” theme to the wedding with beautiful flowers that had that “just picked” look & down home BBQ for many of her out of town guests.
Many of her guests were not from Texas, including the couple, so they felt that BBQ was the best representation of what Texas had to offer!
So we enlisted George Demeris, with Demeris Catering who delighted guests with home town cookin’ and with pecan pie for dessert!
The venue, was the perfect location for this event! Mixing in historical markers with Houston buildings was the great back drop of fusing the past with the present. The Texas Heritage Society park is a wonderful historical venue.
We did, however, had a wedding crasher! That’s right folks, it’s a public park and we can’t deny anyone or any animal from coming into the wedding! So, a chicken hawk decided to make an appereance right in the middle of the father of the bride speech! With his meal in tow! Check out the great shots that Dahlia Photo did of this fantastic and unexpected moment. The father of the bride took it well, shrugged his shoulders, & simply said, “I guess that my cue to end my speech!”
Her father was a sweet man, coming in a checking up on everything, making sure that if we needed anything he was there for us. He also made the cute table numbers in his workshop. Now that’s an awesome dad!
Here are a some ABSOLUTELY Fabulous shots from none other than one of my dearest photographer friends, Sharon Steinmann with Dahlia Photo. She is very journalistic & was able to capture the beauty of the entire event.

Hello readers!
Sheila & Rogelio are a wonderfully sweet couple. She a nurse and him a fireman! What a great combination!
So when I got the call to meet them I was really excited to be working with them! They loved each other so much and were always laughing! I enjoyed planning this wedding with them.
They are very big into family. Family is very very important in their lives & they wanted to respect them as well as incorporate each others cultures. It can always be a challenge incorporating the two cultures but it can also be amazing & beautiful! Fusion is the way to go!
So with that in mind they had an authentic Asian Tea ceremony in the morning that is very prevalent in Chinese & Vietnamese cultures and later in the afternoon a very lovely Catholic wedding ceremony. The danced the night away while enjoying delicious food from Kim Son & dancing hot Latin music throughout the night provided by LG Entertainers.
TechAve did was a wonderful job of draping and decorating the room leaving the Good luck symbols of the Dragon & Phoenix which is very important in many Asian cultures.
Their intro speech was in Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, & English! Some of their menus were also in all 4 languages too. I loved it! And in every moment in the wedding all you see is love, laughter, & double happiness!
So here are a few lovely pictures from Khloe Madison Photography. They did such a beautiful job on the wedding and the work speaks for itself! Enjoy!
Sincerely,

Hello happy readers!
I have been looking forward to blogging about this amazing wedding! This wedding was filled with so much love & laughter!
So a little about the couple, Anja was one of those sweet artistic and romantic girls. She loved sweetly & gently which reflected alot in her wedding. She also wanted to incorporate her British heritage by creating an English tea theme into her wedding.
Joe was an absolute sweetheart. He loved Anja so much it was so heart warming everytime I saw them together. He was a tough guy with a soft heart. They were the perfect pair!
I also loved her parents! Fantastically wonderful and so loving parents and her mother always smiling from ear to ear & laughing! Just loved her!
So for the wedding the perfect location for them to have it was at her parent’s most beautiful ranch in Navasota, TX. This place was just simply….. BEAUTIFUL, SERENE, PEACEFUL, QUAINT, & JUST LOVELY!
With it’s rolling hills, beautiful huge trees, & her funny & quirky animals; it was the perfect scene for this outdoor wedding reception. From Llamas to longhorns there was never a boring moment at the ranch!
She wanted to bring the outside in, so with with help of Angela with TechAve we accomplished just that. With a team of fantastic and wonderful vendors this wedding was just absolutely beautiful! Thank you goes to Jason with DJs Unlimited, Beth with Elegant Linens, Carmen with Carmen’s Floral, and Courtney with Alpha Prosperity!
Here are a some just really amazing pictures from the fabulous duo Amber & Jeremy with Life As Art Photography, renowed Dallas photographers & just plain “cool” people. I enjoyed working with them.

Hello Happy readers!
Kelly being a catering manager knew what she liked and what she wanted for her wedding. Family and close friends were extremely important to her & her fiance.
She was extremely detailed-orientated which is nice! I love it when brides know what they like and how to accomplish it. She made sure that every detail was well taken care of.
Flowers were among the most important factors in her wedding. She wanted the guests to be “WOWED” at her wedding. This aspect of her wedding was carefully planned out and Rebekah with Dream Bouquet did not let her down. Her centerpieces were pure beauty and absolutely gorgeous!
Here are a few personal images of the lovely wedding . Ceremony was held at the lovely West U Methodist church in Houston, TX and the reception held at the Ultra modern, super-chicv – Alden Hotel. It was such a blast to work there!

Hello Happy readers!
I am really excited to blog about Shirley & Neerav’s wedding. This wedding was just beautiful! Shirley & Neerav were such a gorgeous couple! Every time Shirley entered the room everyone lit up. Her smile & her laughter was pure! Neerav was always making Shirley laugh. There was never a dull moment with them. You could sooooo see the love between this beautiful couple.
This wedding was a multicultural event. Both Shirley & Neerav wanted to incoporate both their Indian and Mexican heritage into the wedding, so they had both a traditional Hindu ceremony followed by a beautiful Christian ceremony officiated by none other that Minister Lynn Turner with Weddings Performed. It was two very beautiful ceremonies!
Shirley & Neerav had decided food was a key factor in their wedding. They wanted to provide their guests with an amazing fusion on Indian & Mexican. And the Hotel Derek & Bombay Brasserie did not fail in this task. Bombay Brasserie provided an amazing array of Indian food throughout the day and for dinner & ended the night with hearty breakfast tacos with spicy salsa from the Hotel Derek.
Guests danced the night away with full color & fantastic tunes by DJ Yogi – G. From Bhangra to Salsa to Hip Hop, he DID not fail to please the guests! He made everyone kick up a notch with all their dancing!
I loved their wedding! Their wedding matched the couple’s personalities. Fun, Vibrant, Happy, Joyful, Beautiful, & Ultra modern! Congratulations to Shirley & Neerav!
Here are some AMAZING pictures from Jesus Tirso with Decca Photography. He was fun and energetic to work with!

Hello Happy readers!
I love doing weddings! I think I may have told you that already! It’s one of my most favorite & emotional times in a person’s life. It’s such a special day for all those involved that I always feel extra special when I am selected to do the wedding.
That’s what it was like with Latricia & Okon. Latricia knew from the moment she met me that I was going to be her wedding planner. In fact in our first initial meeting, she said, ” I don’t know why you’re bothering trying to sell me, I already decided that I wanted to use you when I first saw your site. Meeting you was just a fomality and I like you so much already!”
I LOVE LOVE THAT!!!
Latricia had decided to do her wedding at the lovely Bell Tower on 34th. It is such a lovely venue. She was the type of girl that wanted just the right “bling” in her wedding. Not too much, not too little, juuuuussst right!
I have been blessed with wonderfully organized & sweet brides & Latricia was no exception. She was meticulous in what she wanted and knew exactly how she wanted it. Her thoughts & ideas came to life! The event well extremely well & Jason Garcia with Space City Entertainment did not fail us! With a great mix of Top 40, Hip Hop, & a good mix of Nigerian music, there was not one person that wasn’t satisfied, musically!
Here are some beautiful images by the lovely Margaret Lee with LoveLee Photography. Her work is always refereshing & breathtaking! Enjoy!

Hello readers!
I had the distinct pleasure of coordinating this lovely couple’s wedding. When Heather first met me, it was “Love at first sight”. We bonded, we laughed, we truly enjoyed each other’s company. She was sold!
She decided that she needed a planner for her wedding due to her busy schedule as a Doctor & the idea of planning a wedding in Galveston while living in Houston would pose a bit of a challenge for her. She wanted to find the best vendors to work with and new that she didn’t want the hassle of finding them.
Heather & Tray were such a cute couple! Constantly laughing and smiling from ear to ear! You SO see the love between these two love birds that I shed a tear at their ceremony.
They decided to have their wedding at the BEAUTIFUL Historic Hotel Galvez. The day was PERFECT! It was crystal clear skies & the perfect weather. God couldn’t have made it anymore beautiful!
They danced the night away with with fantastic music provided by Jason Garcia with Space City Entertainment.
So take a look at these “Crystal clear” images by the wonderful & amazing, Margaret Lee with Love Lee Photography. Thank you Magaret for doing such a beautiful JOB! Not to mention my amazing vendor team!

Hello Everyone!
It’s been awhile! I know! I’ve been so busy with so many weddings, events, & with school letting out for the summer it has been a hectic day for all!
Today I am blogging about an event that is near and dear to my heart. I had the pleasure of coordinating the open House of a brand new gorgeous facility that just opened up in Houston, TX. This facility is the first of it’s kind here and has been a great accomplishment for President & CEO, Gary Polsky of Solari Hospice Hospice Care.
This facility is designed to create a warm and loving enviroment to those in need of hospice care & to the families that surround them. Their motto is “a time for comfort” and it truly holds strongly in the Solari Family. Gary not only created this amazing facility but has also set a a foundation called Solari Hospice Foundation that is designed to assist family and children, not only financially if needed but also emotionally. He is so passionate about assisting the family as a whole that he also created a Camp Solari, which is a bereavement camp for children and their families. This is such a special and amazing camp.
So, when I was contacted by Charlotte L Lampe Interiors to coordinate this event I was estatic! It was an opportunity to showcase my previous corporate planning experience & to work with such a wonderful company.
We had only a few weeks to plan this event. He wanted a private event for the employees to thank them for all the hard work that they had done & the open house the following day. So with the help of some absolutely amazing vendors, we set out to make it a successful event.
To my surprise we even had a Congressman attend the
event! What an honor to have Congressman Al Green attend the event and present Gary with such an honorable award. There was not a dry eye in the house during the ribbon cutting!
I had contracted my good friend and wonderful photographer, Collins Metu with Collins Metu Photography to take photos of this important event. Thank again Collins for making this event even more special!
Happy reading!
