So what can I tell you about my lovely bride Agnes? She sweet, smart, & undeniably funny!! I enjoyed planning her wedding and with her as there was NEVER a dull moment! From the invites to her glittery gold pumps, every minute with her was like planning a dear old friend’s wedding. Lam was as sweet as a button and one of nicest grooms you’ll ever meet.
So with that in mind Agnes had a vision of simplicity chic! Simple, elegant, clean lines, & very very feminine. She selected the gorgeous Hilton Hotel Post Oak. She was the type of bride that enjoyed the planning process. She tasted it…she touched it… she felt it and she changed it…dresses that is!
She had 4 dress changes. 1. Traditional wedding dress 2. Vietnamese wedding dress 3. Korean wedding dress & 4. Fun party dress for dancing!
Oh, and I HAVE to talk about the cakes done by Cakes by Gina…OH MY!!! Her wedding cake design was a complete surprise! That’s right folks! Cakes by Gina created this based on her wedding dress & her personality. She wanted to give Agnes “bling bling” and made edible jewelry. OH, not the mention the groom’s cake!!!! Have you ever seen such a realistic bowl of Pho? From the chopsticks to the jalapeno peppers..everything was edible!
Here are a few images that were graciously provided by the Oh so wonderful! Steve Lee with Steve Lee Weddings. He and is staff captured the moment as always….beautifully! Click on the image for larger picture.
Enjoy!
Happy planning

So here’s the story on Glenda. I did a wedding last year in March at the Magnolia hotel in Downtown Houston. I parked my car on the outskirts of the hotel. Now, if anyone of you know me by now, you’ll know that I have my SUV with stickers on my car of my company name. It’s the Events by Audrey mobile!
As I get out of my car, a young lady comes up to me as ask me about my services. She said that she thinks she might get engaged in a few months and may need a wedding planner. We chat for a bit, I give her my card and go off my merry way to my wedding.
A few months had passed when I get a call from Glenda. She reminded of how we met and informed me that she was getting married & that she never forgot me or lost my card. I was soooo happy and was unexpected!
To my luck Glenda became such a wonderful & easy going bride. I had such joy in planning this wedding. She knew what she liked & knew what she was looking for so planning this wedding was extremely enjoyable.
Her fiance, now husband, George was the sweetest and probably one of the funniest grooms. He always made us laugh. I KNEW when I met them that they were perfect for each other. Good times!
So, without further a do I give you the pictures of their wedding graciously provided by Dahlia Photo. Dahlia Photo did an absolutely amazing job! They are both worked as photojournalists for the Houston Chronicle so it’s only natural that their pictures showcase that talent. Thanks again to Dahlia Photo.
They wanted to incorprate the Latin side to their wedding as it seemed perfect for them since Glenda & George met in a Salsa class! Yes that’s right! They met in a salsa class!
Video to come shortly! So stay tuned! Thanks again Dahlia Photo!

Hello fellow readers! I hope that this post finds you well in the new year. It has been awhile since my last blog post. I have so much to tell you and so little time!
Recently, an idea came across my mind and thought I would pitch it to my December bride, Emily. She was looking for something different & something fun for her fiance Micheal. So I suggested pull apart cupcakes! They are extremely popular with little children and I thought this would be such a fabulous idea for such a fun-loving couple. Michael didn’t want cake…no…he’s a cupcake man! So what better than a pull-apart cupcake!
So, Emily went for the idea and decided that the most appropriate design would be a tombstone that said: “R.I.P” Michael’s single days…
It was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved the idea of having this! We went to a local grocery store to get it done. Kroger’s in Sugar Land does tasty & yummy cupcakes! She did 24 cupcakes and they did an amazing job & inexpensive too! Roughly about $24.99 for 24 cupcakes so depending on the size would depend on the price.
Happy Planning!

December 4th, 2009
The other day I attended a wonderful networking event in Downtown Houston.
The night was BRRRR..cold! Not like today (December 4, 2009) in Houston,TX and it’s snowing! BUT it was chilly out so as anyone would do, I brought my coat.
When I arrived I asked the Host if there was a coat check so that I can leave it there and not have to worry about lugging around my big coat. I was informed that they did not have a coat check!
So it got me thinking, although Houston is not a very cold city, I feel that it should be important to offer that service when doing an event in the winter time. I cannot begin to tell you how crowded it got and having to carry a coat just added to the “cozy” but tight atmosphere.
So in retrospect if you have an event during the winter it might be a good idea to ask the facility if they can offer you a coat check person at the front. They can keep an eye on your coat and your guests can have FUN at your event instead of having to worry about where their coat is. You can check with them to see what if any are the additional rates.
Happy Planning!

Hello my friends! It has been a very long time since I’ve been blogging!
I recently had a wedding (Jessica & Jonathan) that had an absolutely wonderful and ingenious idea!
Ladies, and men
, have you ever gone to a wedding were the music is great? The party is happenin’ and you just want to dance the night away? Only to find yourself after one hour of dancing that you feet gave out? That they don’t want anything to do with you?
Well have I a solution for you! LOL, I sound like a infomercial! I’ve recently discoved a clever idea to save those painful feet from pain and suffering…Are you ready for this?
Lightweight Nylon-Pima Cotton Footies!
These are simple Nylon Footies that can be offered to the guests so that they have have comfy feet at your wedding. What Jessica, my bride, did is that she had bowl of chocolate brown footies (to match her wedding) next to the DJ with a sign reading:
“When your feet are falling apart…Put these on for a fresh new start! ”
What a wonderful idea! That way your guests can take off their shoes without fear of getting them dirty, running their pantyhose, or worried about getting splinters on their feet!
This is just a wonderful gesture to show that you care for them and that you want them to enjoy your wedding instead of crying over “spilled feet!”
Here is a website that sells the little “heavenly” footies!

The other day I met Kurt Yager with Quest Drape. They have been around the draping industry for a while now but have recently decided to open their market to the Houston, TX area. They drape grand Hollywood events to smaller scale weddings. You can have a beautiful set up for your own wedding and feel like a movie star!
Draping around the ballroom, ceiling treaments, column covers, door swags…what can they not do? Prices ranges depending on the size of the ballroom and the total amount of set up required. I would say average would be between $3,000 and up.
So if you want to dress up your ballroom to make it for the ultra chic modern wedding, consider draping..consider www.questdrape.com!
Below are some pictures provided by Quest Drape. Sit back and enjoy these luscious pictures! CLICK ON THE PICTURES TO GET A BETTER VIEW!
