I am very excited to blog about this one! This was a beautiful wedding where love was flowing throughout the ENTIRE process and on their wedding day!! To see the love that Samantha & Alex had for each other was one of the most beautiful sites to see!
So a little history of this amazing off-beat couple. I had met Samantha at a wedding I had coordinated about a year ago. She was the crossbearer for Carolina & Steve’s wedding. We had met there and she told me that she would contact me she was going to plan her wedding. I love it when people tell me that!
We hit it off the very first time her, Alex, & I met. We spent hours talking about her dream wedding. It was like talking to two very close friends! It was kismet! We discussed different ideas and a couple of ideas where thrown into the hat:
* Miami night club theme
* Renaissance theme
* Halloween theme
* Twilight Vampire theme
* Asian Gothic theme
As you can see they had ALOT of great and interesting ideas! They wanted their wedding to be THEIR wedding. They wanted it to reflect their personalities & styles and wanted the world to see and they contracted me to create their vision.
After a hard and long process of figuring out what they wanted, they finally decided on the color scheme; red, black, & white. So they took that color theme throughout the whole process, from the draping to the flowers, everything reflected that same color scheme. As we still tried to figure out their theme…:-) Final verdict? Mr. Devil & Mrs. Angel getting married in Old Hollywood!
Now, I must discuss the cakes: WOW!! Their cakes definitely showed their personalties. Samantha wanted BLING!! Wanted the cake to shine & shimmer & Edible Designs by Jessie did NOT dissappoint! Alex wanted something different, something BOLD, something that reflected his interests. Now, mind you most brides would not be happy to ablige the groom’s idea of a groom’s cake. But not Samantha, she wanted to make him happy. She loved him eternally and unconditionally, so if he wanted a cake with dancers on it, well his wish was her command!
As the evening wore on, the couple decided to incorporate their Mexican culture by have the “Vibora” song play. This is where the bride & groom stand on a chair & the groom holds the bride’s veil while guests ran under it as fast as they could. Let’s just say that it was definitely a site to see! Fransico Perez with Elegante Entertainment had the crowd on their feet the whole night!
Everything about this wedding was different and amazing. I must say that the vendors TRULY outdid themselves at this wedding. From the DJ, draping, cake, chocolate fountain, photographer, floral, & reception facility, no one ceased to amaze the couple! I am happy to say the wedding went FABULOUSLY!
I want to thank the following for truly making this wedding the dream come true for the couple. Without them it would have NOT happened.
Thank you to the following additional vendors:
Carmen Floral Designs
Techave
Houston Party Booths
Chocolate Fountain Express
Thank you all and I want to with Samantha & Alex a wonderfully happy life filled with love & lots of little ones! XOXO!!
Sincerely

Well hello there! How have you been doing? Me, quite well thank you! Been busy with lost of wedding this month so I’ve been lacking in my bloggin’ duties. Perdon!
I had the pleasure of being a part of Dennis & Wendy’s most fun wedding! EVERYONE had a blast at this wedding! From the minister who is her Uncle from Tiawan to all the guests who flew is from almost every continent on this planet! They danced the night away with songs from the past & present! It truly was a wedding that I feel honored to have been a part of! Thanks Wendy!
So here’s a few details of the lovely bride & her wedding. They had contacted me approximately two years ago and where deciding between Boston & Houston. Boston is where the lovely couple met Houston was their home. So after much thought & meditation, they decided on Houston. Yay me! So began the process of this wonderful wedding.
They decided to follow some ideas of David Tutera for their wedding ceremony, by hanging red ribbon with a yellow carnation on a very beautiful tree. Red, yellow, or gold are very important colors in the Chinese culture. Representing good luck, health, & wealth. We could all use a little of that!
Instead of doing the traditional, Wendy decided to have a cocktail hour BEFORE the ceremony! So as the guests arrived on School buses (Wendy being a teacher) they enjoyed a cool beverage of either Mexican beer, Blue Moon beer, Mexican coke, & some other yummy delights! Her guests were her TOP priority!
After the ceremony had ended, the guests were transported to Fung’s Kitchen where several absolutely amazing dishes were served course after course! I love Chinese weddings! We love love to eat eat!!!
A photobooth, uplighting and draping completed the decor. She transformed this into her personal space!
Instead of doing the traditional wedding cake, she wanted to incorporate his & her love for Super Mario Brothers. So with that in mind Cakes by Gina made this truly amazing cake that awed all the guests & staff alike. Since Dennis likes to grill alot, Wendy decided to also have a BBQ grill to represent his ability!

Hi Everyone!
Phew! I’ve had a busy month and lot’s to blog about! I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to blog about this wedding.
So a little background on Liz & Adam, they were referred to me by former clients, Julie & Chris, and when the mother of the bride & Liz met me they already heard wonderful things about me. So I must say that the biggest compliment is to receive referrals from past clients. : -)
Liz & Adam decided to get married at the very beautiful St. Vincent’s Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Magnolia Ballroom where beats of yesteryear & hits of today were played well by our wonderful DJ Fransisco Perez of Elegante Entertainment. Flowers by Lisa with Petals by Design.
There is one person I just NEED to mention. Her grandmother! She’s the one dancing in one of the pics. She was sooo sweet and funny! I just loved her! She comes up to me and asks me, “So how do I look for an 85 year old? Pretty good don’t ya think? I still got it goin’ on!”
I can only hope that I would be that awesome at her age!
Here are some amazing photos taken by Niki with Photography by Niki. I must say she and her assistant where so much fun to work with! They were attentive and made my job fun! Thanks again Niki!

Hello Everyone!
I can’t wait to blog about this one! Lauren & Bryan were such a young, fun-loving, & super happy couple! They decided that having an outdoor ceremony at the Cohen House in Rice University was the perfect location for this couple.
After the ceremony guests wined & dined the night away with some rockin’ music by the Groom’s cousin, Stephen Frazier. It was a family event where everyone participated from the singers at the ceremony to the Father of the Groom gettin’ down with his old college band! Everyone danced the night away! It was nice to see the Father of the Groom having fun at his son’s wedding!
Here are some personal pictures of the wedding. It was a blast to coordinate this event & a blast to be a part of it! Enjoy!
Sincerely,

Hi Everyone,
Taviea & Zeb were such a lovely couple! From the beginning Taviea knew what she wanted. She had a lovely sense of style and decided that purple & red were the color schemes that were to be held throughout the reception. For the wedding ceremony itself she decided to go all white.
Her ideas were simple: Chic, elegant, & ABSOLUTELY FUN! She wanted to make sure that everyone had fun. From the fabulous Photobooth to the fun groom’s cake, everyone enjoyed a little bit of eye candy!
Her wedding was held at a gorgeous facility with all the bells & whistles. This place had “picture perfect” location in almost every nook & cranny in that place! I loved The Bell Tower! The service was fantastic, the food was amazing, & our catering manager Avina was so wonderful to work with!
Here are a few pics of the wedding. Of course I took them with my brand new camera. I’ve really got to take some lessons in photography! Shhh…I threw in a picture of the Zeb having some fun with their DJ Cesar with LG Entertainers. Maybe an aspiring DJ? Hmm…..to be continued!
Enjoy!
Happy Planning

Looking for a lovely gift for either a family friend, bridesmaids, or wedding party? How about as party favors? I’ve decided to blog about my dear friend Zafrina Vellani with Z’s Handmade.
Whenever I find interesting items that are handmade, it just seems to be extra special. The thought of someone giving me something so special as a handmade lotion or a handmade candle makes me feel as if I was important in their lives.
She offers a wonderful variety of smells. Here’s a list of some of her most popular sales:
Desire – An alluring, sensual fragrance. Top notes of fresh citrus and vetiver and rose geranium, middle notes of jasmine, lily of the valley; and bottom notes of amber guise, vanilla, and musk .
Romance – A truly romantic, passionate fragrance. This unique aroma begins with top notes of fresh ferns and water lilies. Middle notes of fresh rose petals, clove, French jasmine, and lilac, with a background of sandalwood.
Kisses – A playful scent which begins with raspberry, blackberry, and strawberries. Has a note of coconut milk and fresh roses, and hint of Egyptian vanilla and amber musk
To name just a few. So as you can see she offers some tantalizing smells!
Here are some additional products that Z’s Handmade offers:
Soy lotion candle: Soy lotion candles, are also called body candles and massage candles. These are yet another type of candle, this one serving several simultaneous functions. While they light a room, provide a wonderful ambiance, and emit subtle fragrance, lotion candles also contain cosmetic ingredients that make them a superb body moisturizer and massage oil alternative. Because of their ingredients, a true lotion candle will melt at a very low temperature, usually at just 101 – 102 degrees. At slightly above body temperature, they are warm and not hot.
Body Butter: Our Body Butters are amazingly moisturizing, and the ingredients are top quality natural butters and rich oils. The Shea butter has often been called the ultimate moisturizer. It quickly melts and absorbs into the skin, and its suitable for all skin types. The Shea butter leaves your skin feeling really soft and smooth.
Wickless lotion candles: Wickless lotion candles are flameless, no wicks candles. Simply place them on a candle warmer and enjoy the lotion without a flame. Our wickless candles come in sizes of 8oz and 16oz. We offer them in a glass jars as well as a metal tin cans.
Think about it for your next event, whether it be for a wedding, bridal shower, family gathering, or if you just want to treat yourself to something nice.
Happy Planning!

Jessica & Chris where such a delight to work with! The couple lives in Colorado but wanted to have their wedding in Katy, TX where Chris’ mother lives.
They wanted a back yard “Texas Chic” Wedding. The bride from Colorado wanted to incorporate some Southern Twang into her wedding. So she wore cowboy boots! : ) It was so cute! The minister was what I would say a Gothic cowboy! He was so sweet! He wore a Black cowboy hat, black nail polish, and a kilt.
What was different about their ceremony is that they had a toast in the middle of the ceremony. They offered each guest a glass of champagne and toasted them for bringing them together. It was so touching. They exited dancing to “White Wedding” from Billy Idol.
They also did a BBQ in the back yard and decided to use the Bandana as their main color scheme. With gorgeous flowers provided by the ever amazing Carmen with Carmen’s Floral design, the flowers, food, cake, & complete ambiance exceeded the couple’s expectations!
It just happened that on this day it RAINED!! ALOT!! It rained the night before and all day on May 15. We were worried that the wedding would get rained out. Since it was an outdoor wedding, the rain plan was to have a tent set up and ready to go. Low and behold after much prayer the rain stopped! 2 hours before the ceremony. Just in time!
With the glistening of the raindrops and the gorgeous sunset that God had provided us, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! With just a little change of plan we were able to execute an excellent event. We used the tent for the tables, chairs, & food. The ceremony was still held outdoors. We were lucky enough to have nice flooring to use.
Here are some pics that the lovely Carmen with Carmen’s Floral design took for me. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted all my pics.
I had lovely pics of the bandana cake, the tabasco place cards, the centerpieces, fans, & the fun set up. But Carmen saved the day! Here are a few pics!
Enjoy!
Happy Planning!

On March 13, 2010 I had the sincere pleasure of working with such an adorable couple! The story that her father, best man, & maid of honor described them to a T!
Catherine was a wonderful bride who was always calm, cool, & collected and always happy! She decided to go a fresh spring time wedding.
As this was my first time ever doing a Jewish wedding, I was truely excited to see the ceremony and get familiar with the traditions that they have.
Some of my favorite things of this wedding:
In lieu of table numbers she created a gorgeous frame with a photograph of each city that they had visited. Guests loved going through the room looking for the Costa Rica table, New York table, or Austin table. What was really cute about it is that we left a metallic sharpie on each table and each guest was encouraged to sign warm wishes on these frames.
Another very cute idea that I thought was very thoughtful and giving were the party favors that she had selected. In lieu of party favors she donated money to her favorite charity! She decided that since she loved pets so much, she donated to her local animal shelter. Each place setting had a picture of their dog and a little note indicating the donation in their name.
Here are a few pics of the wonderful event. Abbie Flynn with Abbie Flynn photography in Houston,TX created these absolutely gorgeous images! She truly was a joy to work with! Thanks Abbie!
Happy Planning!!

The other day I attended a wonderful networking event in Downtown Houston.
The night was BRRRR..cold! Not like today (December 4, 2009) in Houston,TX and it’s snowing! BUT it was chilly out so as anyone would do, I brought my coat.
When I arrived I asked the Host if there was a coat check so that I can leave it there and not have to worry about lugging around my big coat. I was informed that they did not have a coat check!
So it got me thinking, although Houston is not a very cold city, I feel that it should be important to offer that service when doing an event in the winter time. I cannot begin to tell you how crowded it got and having to carry a coat just added to the “cozy” but tight atmosphere.
So in retrospect if you have an event during the winter it might be a good idea to ask the facility if they can offer you a coat check person at the front. They can keep an eye on your coat and your guests can have FUN at your event instead of having to worry about where their coat is. You can check with them to see what if any are the additional rates.
Happy Planning!
