Brooke + Shane 11.20.10

Saturday, January 15th, 2011

Greetings readers!

Now it’s Brooke & Shane’s turn!  Brooke had a simple yet elegant wedding with over 350 of her closest friends & family!  She decided to get married the beautiful All Saints Catholic church located in the Heights area.  Small, quaint, & so very beautiful!  She packed the ENTIRE church! :)

The reception was held at the Omni Hotel Riverway where the lovely Teresa Westburry executed an excellant event.  Brooke’s colors were purple & a very deep & very rich Red.  Red being her favorite color!

Cesar, with LG Entertainers had the guests dancing the night away!  Here are a few personal pictures of the evening.  Enjoy!

Happy Planning!

Taviea & Zeb – 8.7.10

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Hi Everyone,

Taviea & Zeb were such a lovely couple!  From the beginning Taviea knew what she wanted.  She had a lovely sense of style and decided that purple & red were the color schemes that were to be held throughout the reception.  For the wedding ceremony itself she decided to go all white.

Her ideas were simple: Chic, elegant, & ABSOLUTELY FUN!  She wanted to make sure that everyone had fun.  From the fabulous Photobooth to the fun groom’s cake, everyone enjoyed a little bit of eye candy! :-)

Her wedding was held at a gorgeous facility with all the bells & whistles.  This place had “picture perfect” location in almost every nook & cranny in that place!  I loved The Bell Tower!  The service was fantastic, the food was amazing, & our catering manager Avina was so wonderful to work with!

Here are a few pics of the wedding.  Of course I took them with  my brand new camera.  I’ve really got to take some lessons in photography!  Shhh…I threw in a picture of the Zeb having some fun with their DJ Cesar with LG Entertainers.  Maybe an aspiring DJ?  Hmm…..to be continued!

Enjoy!

Happy Planning

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

Welcome to a whole new look in chocolate!  I recently stumbled on this website through Premier Bride of Houston and thought is was the most interesting idea.  Alot of brides are looking for the next big thing.  The latest trend.

Take a look at these hot hot bon bons!  Glitter bon bons!  They come in all different colors to match any wedding colors.  They can also create a color scheme for your wedding.

I personally would consider these also for baby showers, wedding anniversary, graduations, or even birthday parties!

Caterer- Drop in VS. Full Service

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

When looking for a caterer for your wedding it’s always important to find the best one that fits your budget, taste amazing, and will provide the best service available.

With that in mind, would definitely suggest rather recommend that you select a full service caterer for your next event.

Let’s look at both sides:
Drop In Caterer:

  • They just drop the food and leave.
  • They don’t have linens, chafers, or utensils available which means you would have to rent.
  • You would have to rent everything from silverware, plates, chafers, linens, staffing, decorations..etc.
  • They do not clean up.

Full Service Caterer:

  • They provide you with staffing to serve the food, set up, clean up, and run the bar.
  • They offer a larger variety of items for you to use such as linens and silverware.
  • You have a on-site captain to oversee the entire event to ensure proper service.
  • Cake cutting is included with most caterers.

So for about the same price or just a tad bit more you will find that hiring a full service caterer will save you from all the headaches of hiring staff, setting up, or cleaning up your own wedding. Do you really want to be throwing away trash in your gorgeous wedding dress? Or any of your guests for that matter?

So my vote of course is for the full service caterer!
